At Love to Learn Tutor, we combine over 20 years of experience in tutoring services with a personalized approach that helps every student succeed. As a woman and minority-owned business, we celebrate both big milestones and the small victories along the way. We proudly offer online tutoring to children nationwide, serving a diverse range of students, including those with special needs, learning disabilities, and individualized education plans. Whether it’s math, reading, science, or social studies, our patient tutors work to build confidence in students by truly getting to know their unique learning styles.

Based in Greensboro, NC, we’re deeply connected to the needs of our clients and understand the specific educational requirements in various states. We provide tutoring services for schools and school districts, including Title 1 and students under the McKinney-Vento Act. Our offerings span after-school programs, online schools, homeschool support, and GED preparation. Whether your child needs assistance with math, reading, science, or other subjects, we are here to ensure every student has the tools they need to grow and thrive.

Susan Long

As a self-proclaimed “average student” who struggled in school, Susan’s story is one of perseverance and dedication. An award-winning educator for over thirty years, Susan has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina and a Master’s from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical University in Reading Education, as well as several teaching certifications and licenses. In addition, she has been a Nationally Board Certified teacher for over 20 years. Like the teachers who inspired her, she can connect with students individually, spark their curiosity, and encourage their interests! Susan has been married for thirty years and has three teenagers. When she isn’t teaching, tutoring, or mentoring, Susan enjoys reading, knitting, and various outdoor activities, including cycling, hiking, kayaking, camping, swimming, and gardening.

EXUBERANT— it’s a high-value Scrabble word, one of Kimberly James’ favorite pastimes! But it’s also descriptive of her warm and inviting nature. A married mother of two, Kimberly has been an educator for over 15 years. Having earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Wake Forest University and her Master’s Degree from Western Governors University, she’s won local and national awards for her teaching and is adept at coaching and mentoring students through challenging learning obstacles. Kimberly is an avid reader and loves physical activities like walking, gardening, and swimming aerobics.
